You Can’t Beat Clean Humor
Yes, I am one of those people who use the term “hedge of protection” in prayer a lot. Every.single.night. That’s probably why my daughter couldn’t stop laughing when we watched this video together. I can only assume she was thrilled that someone was finally saying what she has been thinking for years.
Not to be a killjoy, but in Job 1 Satan said to God that the reason Job was so faithful to him was that God had placed a hedge around him so Satan couldn’t touch him. Guess Satan is afraid of hedges!
Becky, of course praying that God would place His hedge of protection around someone is biblical. That’s why I pray this nightly for those the Holy Spirit brings to mind.
I don’t think that makes the video any less humorous though.
We have watched his clips so many time that most of my family knows them by heart! My mother-in-law says to “drive careful” every Sunday when we leave her house. That has become an enormous joke now. But we don’t laugh until we’re out of hearing range. LOL!!
Tim Hawkins is hilarious! I always get a kick out of some of the “Christianese” terms we use. They’re useful and there’s nothing wrong with them. It’s just cute because we’ve all heard them over and over. Traveling mercies, anyone?
