A Growing Family
If you used to keep up with my personal blog you may remember the few times I mentioned how I wished we would have had more children. We have three beautiful, wonderful children. Julian also has a son that is 27 years old and is a dad himself. Still, a larger family has always been a dream.
A dream, that is, until this week when Chloe and I went to the Compassion International website and added two little beauties to our family. I don’t know if I should post names so I’ll just tell you the nicknames we have for them. We call our little girls Ani and Lolly. I smile every time I look at their little faces. I can’t wait to send letters, gifts and hopefully visit them. We purposely picked children in Mexico so that we’d have the ability to meet them face-to-face. They are both 4 years old and their birthdays are two days apart. They even live in the same village.
Ya know, when I was pregnant with Chloe about thirteen years ago, I miscarried her twin. It was heartbreaking to say the least. Yet when the doctor told us that our chance of having twins with the next pregnancy increased by 25%, it kind of scared my darling hubby. And so we put off having children until it was too late. For the last few years I pushed for adoption but God never made it possible. He had other plans. He knew one day we’d have these two little girls to love.

They’re beautiful. And yes, I posted about this very subject and my the child I sponsored two days ago, through Compassion.
How can we not do this!
Do you have any idea how close Texas is to Mexico? So close. Get a map and check it out if you don’t believe me. If you let me tag along, I promise to bring snacks.
